Trelleborg Fluid Handling Solutions (Trelleborg) has launched its brand new app to assist customers in choosing the most appropriate hose for whatever fluid they are working with, based on chemical resistance properties. The app will be able to immediately answer most compatibility questions when it comes to chemical resistance of Trelleborg’s range of standard hoses.
From a list of over 1,200 chemicals, including various concentrations, the app will show all the possible solutions available from the standard Trelleborg hose catalogue. Results are sorted with rating from green (can be used within the selected temperature range) to orange (only for intermittent use). The data-sheet of the hose can then be instantly shared either by email, or via online social media.
Arnauld Filancia, Trelleborg Fluid Handling Solutions PA industrial hose director, has commented, “This tool will help users pick the right hose for their application. Upon selection of a hose, its detailed features will be displayed, reminding the chemical selection and the compatibility result with temperature.”
