Torque limiter for packing machines & conveying systems

ENEMAC has launched a torque limiter type ECI that has a wide bearing position perfectly suited for packing machines and conveying systems. The mounting for adapting of pinion-end elements was designed particularly wide, which relieves the addition of crown gears, chain wheels or gears.

Precise limitation of torque is guaranteed through the specially developed disc springs, which also allow a very wide torque range, without the need of replacement of springs. The fully developed ball-hurtling-principal interjects within a few angular degrees the drive chain between motor and machine. These torque limiters are generally equipped with a synchronous hurtling, which means drive part and pinion-end element have only a tab location within 360 degrees.

Torque transmission from the engine shaft occurs through a keyway on the hub of the coupling. The particular drive part (crown gear, chain wheel, gear, bead or the like) is added with a floating bearing and mounted on the bearing surface of the coupling. For transmission of torque it suffices a bolted flange connection. Eminently for short journal extensions the user gets a good possibility with this type of coupling for connecting as well wide output-elements. The coupling then occurs as an extension of axle. On request the type ECI can also be delivered in stainless steel. Torque range from 2 Nm up to 900 Nm are possible in 14 different sizes.
