“If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?” Of course it does—but who cares? Sound is not only the physical vibration, but also perception and interpretation.
It is not only a question for philosophers, but writers, thinkers, doers and creators. What is the point of writing if nobody is going to read it, or inventing if nobody is going to use it? The very foundation of our society is built on the concept of sharing, interacting and engaging with each other in order to tackle shared challenges. In an industry that is constantly evolving, cooperation and knowledge-sharing between the entire community is more important than ever.
We want to facilitate the conversations that will lead to innovation, creative problem solving and strong relationships. On behalf of Hose + Coupling World and NAHAD’s Hose Safety Institute, we invite experts who manufacture, distribute or use hoses and couplings in the industrial process industries to submit an abstract to present at the Hose + Coupling World Conference & Expo at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas, October 16-17.
We are looking for abstracts on a wide variety of topics related to industrial and hydraulic hoses, couplings, fittings and accessories and other relevant topics to the flow control industry. Check out our event website for some topic ideas, or pitch us a topic we haven’t considered. Send a 300-500 abstract outlining the material and content of your presentation to Jody Hewitt at j.hewitt@kci-world.com.
