Entries are now open for OPITO Global Awards 2018 to be held in November, 2018. Champions of safety training and skills development within the oil and gas sector will be recognized at this year’s awards on 7th November, during the organisation’s annual safety and competency conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. OPITO is a global, not-for-profit skills body for the energy industry.
Nominations are being welcomed by OPITO across four categories in line with the 2018 conference theme, ‘Skilled for Safety’. The awards will honour individuals and companies committed to ensuring their workforce remains safe and competent to the globally recognized OPITO standards.
The Leadership Award and the Emerging Leader Award will see people being celebrated for inspiring others as well as developing programs to improve safety and competency within their workplace. Businesses able to demonstrate their commitment to personnel safety through training, people development and the use of OPITO standards can be entered into the Skilled for Safety Champion or Digital Champion categories.
Winners will be announced at OPITO Global – the Safety & Competence Conference, which is being held at the InterContinental Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is the only international event which focuses entirely on safety and competency in the oil and gas industry. The event is expected to attract more than 400 delegates and 20 exhibitors.
