KLAW to unveil SILSIS automated system at Gastech 2018

KLAW LNG will provide a unique insight into delivering SIL2 compliant LNG hose transfer operations at Gastech 2018. According to the company, visitors will gain hands-on experience of managing a SIL2 compliant LNG transfer and ESD1 and ESD2 emergency shutdown. Ensuring availability due to SILSIS design and proof test capabilities will also be explained.

According to KLAW, the Safety Integrated Level Safety Instrumented System (SILSIS) is the world’s first SIL2 compliant automated system for managing LNG transfers and emergency situations in flexible hose operations.

SILSIS is a fully-automated Programme Logic Controlled (PLC) system and removes many human elements from the transfer process, maximizing cost efficient availability. The ability to proof-test and diagnose issues without the need for invasive inspection helps to ensure minimal operational disruption; SILSIS has a real-time interface ensures that operators can follow systematic procedures without the risk of distraction.

In addition to SILSIS, KLAW LNG will also be exhibiting its full range of LNG safety critical transfer systems. Its comprehensive range includes; ship-to-ship, ship-to-shore and bunkering operations from small to large scale; and the latest in small island and scalable bunkering applications.
