Keith Stephenson to retire from Cooper Standard

Keith Stephenson will retire on April 2nd, after a 12 year-year run with Cooper Standard. He currently serves as the company’s Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President.
During his tenure with the company, Stephenson successfully led projects like installation of Cooper Standard’s operating system, setting up the company’s i3 innovation process and global innovation team, upgrading Cooper Standard’s information technology and purchasing infrastructures and bringing on key acquisitions and joint ventures.
The chairman and CEO of Cooper Standard, Jeff Edwards, stated, “On behalf of the entire Cooper Standard organization, I want to extend our gratitude to Keith for all his contributions, especially for the leadership, integrity and energy he brought to the business and the many community initiatives he championed on behalf of the Cooper Standard Foundation. His tireless efforts helped build a solid foundation for our future success and we wish him well.”

The firm has also appointed three leaders to manage three global organizations—manufacturing, engineering, and innovation.
Patrick Clark, Christopher Couch, and Hans Helmrich will serve as the organizations Chief Global Engineering and Product Strategy Officer, Chief Innovation Officer, and Global Manufacturing Officer, respectively.
