DuPont Releases Hytrel Thermoplastic Elastomer

The new DuPont™ Hytrel® TPC-ET thermoplastic elastomer merges the flexibility of rubber with the strength of thermoplastics. Hytrel® parts are resilient, can withstand heat and chemicals, and are durable.

Hytrel® enables the development of unique parts with multiple performance characteristics. The versatile thermoplastic elastomer resin can flex in multiple directions, long after rubber would break. Its durability has made it an essential ingredient in automotive components.

Hytrel® RS delivers the benefits of Hytrel®, and contains up to 60% renewably sourced materials from non-food biomass, making it an excellent product for applications demanding renewably sourced options.

Hytrel® Uses
– Mechanical Gears
– Polymers for Oil and Gas
– Seals and Gaskets
– Sustainability in Airbag Systems
– Thermoplastic Tubing and Elastomeric Hose
