With over 16 years of expertise in his field, Antonio “Manolo” Ferreira knows the ins-and-outs of the upstream oil & gas industry; including the design criteria necessary for ensuring safe operation of on- and offshore hose, flowlines and umbilical installations. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Manolo had already joined the industry ranks, working for a multinational manufacturer of offshore hoses and umbilicals, at the time of his graduation in Mechanical Engineering in 1999.
Hose + Coupling World had the pleasure of speaking with Manolo, who today works as a Flexible & Umbilical Installation Lead Engineer for global subsea EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation) provider, Subsea 7, in contracts with national oil and gas company, Petrobras.
