The Akwel Group, a French automotive supplier, has opened an automotive ‘complex hoses’ plant in Rayong, Thailand in a bid to move closer to its customers.
The plant officially opened in November of last year. It supplies coolant hoses to Ford and other local car makers, said Akwel in a statement.
The 5,700-square-metre factory is currently dedicated to assembly of complex hoses. By 2020, Akwel expects to add rubber processing (extrusion, forming) capabilities at the plant, to complement the group’s expertise and product range.
